God misses Washington DC by miles
In an unusual display of righteous anger, God aimed at Washington DC with his high wind tornadoes, and missed by over 100 miles! It wasn't clear immediately why He was off-target by such a wide margin, but weather officials at Regent University's Baptist Weather Center were quick to point out that they have documented evidence that this is not His first-ever wide-margin miss with tornado strikes.
Baseball star Canseco loses home to foreclosure

Another convenient hanging
Sadly, I was not shocked to hear Thursday's news that former DC madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey -recently convicted on prostitution charges - was found dead, at the end of a nylon rope, in a shed on her mother's property down in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Florida. Man, what a state. From the Pensacola to the Keys - corruption to the "nth" degree. Need to fix elections? Go to Florida. Need to train CIA operatives to fly suicide missions? Go to Florida. Need to use an international airport as a drop-off point for your multi-million dollar drug shipments? Go to Florida. Need to conveniently murder a woman connected to a case involving high-profile government officials who like it kinky? Go to Florida. It's no surprise that a Bush was recently a governor of the Sunshine State.

Since Bulgarian scientists have published research showing linguistic and ethnic similarities between the Gorani and the Bulgarians over the years, debate has centred around their possible Bulgarian origin and whether they should be recognised as a Bulgarian minority.

Underreported: Albania
Albania is fledgling democracy with a tumultuous political climate and a controversial prime minister. It’s also a strategic ally of the United States, yet we rarely hear about it in the American media. Erion Veliaj is a recipient of the United Nations Civil Society Award and was director of Albania’s leading watchdog group, MJAFT , from 2003 to 2007.
