Russia drafts action plan in case Kosovo declares independence

A senior Russian diplomat said Monday that Moscow has prepared an action plan that envisages close coordination with Serbia should the West recognize any Kosovo declaration of independence. Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, the Russian Foreign Ministry's special envoy to the Balkans, said Moscow is encouraging more talks between the Serbs and the province's thnic Albanian majority. He said, however, that chances for such talks are rapidly decreasing, with Kosovo's leaders expected to declare independence soon. Botsan-Kharchenko said at a meeting with Russian lawmakers that the ministry had worked out a plan of action if Kosovo declares independence, and the United States and the European Union members recognize it. He wouldn't give details but said the plan «envisages a close coordination of action with Belgrade.

Russia warns US, EU over Kosovo independence

Russia's Kosovo negotiator, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, declined to give any details about the steps, but said a recognition of Kosovo's independence by the West would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe in the province.

When asked if Russia had a plan of action if Kosovo declared independence, he said: "Yes, Russia's Foreign Ministry has prepared a whole host of steps and measures. These measures fully accord to our position on independence for Kosovo."

The State of My Union Address

Perhaps the number one topic today is the economy, equal to or followed closely by the war in Iraq. We'll address the economy first. Let's see. I was employed in an IT job for 7 years from 2000 to 2006 until my entire department was outsourced. Falling back on my construction knowledge, I went through two jobs until I was laid off last October. Since then, I have applied at 40+ companies in the area and have had 2 interviews. I am collecting unemployment, living check to check. My wife still has her job, thank goodness, but the lengthy commute results in higher cost as gas prices rise. Rising food prices are also a factor as we try to feed a family of four. As far as I can tell, the outlook on the employment and economy don't look so good. Sorry I don't have better news, but I don't see our corrupt and thieving government turning things around.

The war in Iraq rolls on, a dismal failure by any measure. It began with lies, continues only to profit business and continues to kill our finest. With no exit strategy, looks like nothing will change anytime soon and I don't see any of the leading candidates getting us out any time soon either.

Here is an experiment. After you get tired if listening to Bush, turn off the sound and just watch his face. That will tell you more about the real state of the union than his speechification ever will. (MR)

It was a telling contrast. The pro-Western incumbent Serbian President Boris Tadic was somewhat subdued even though he won no less than 35 per cent of this week's hotly- contested Serbian presidential election. Tadic was running neck-to-neck with the nationalist contender Tomislav Nikolic, but it was the latter who emerged as the undisputed winner of the presidential poll, edging ahead of Tadic with 40 per cent. Nikolic was triumphant. "I want to unify Serbia," he told his supporters in the Serbian capital Belgrade after the results of the presidential poll were announced. "And, no one can stop me," he thundered.

This is not what democracy looks like.

We have a system in which our candidates are chosen not based on who has the best qualifications, but rather on who can raise the most money and get the most media attention. We have a system that does not care much about what the country as a whole thinks, but instead allows two of the whitest states in the nation to have first say in choosing our candidates every four years. We have a system which awards delegates in such a fucked up way that a person can lose the popular vote in one state and still get more delegates than the winning candidate. We have super delegates whose votes are considered to be many times more important than those of the average citizen. We have a media that focuses all of the attention on their chosen candidates and does not provide equal time to those they do not deem worthy. We have system in which party bosses decide which states should have the most say in the electoral process, and will actually deny certain states their delegates if they do not fall in line with the party's wishes. We see candidates being excluded from debates based on a criteria not by voters but by big media conglomerates.

The Death Of Martin Luther King

MARTIN LUTHER KING - THE FATAL SHOT CAME FROM A DIFFERENT DIRECTION

Click for full size picture

Just moments after Dr. Martin Luther King was killed by a sniper's bullet, a photographer took the above picture. Dr. King lies on the balcony floor. The witnesses are all pointing in the direction the fatal shot was fired from. There is no confusion among the witnesses as to where the source of the shot was. They are not confused by echoes. There is no uncertainty. All three witnesses are pointing in exactly the same direction.

The official story is that these men are pointing at the bathroom window in the rear of the rooming house from which James Earl Ray is supposed to have fired a gunshot.

But is that where the witnesses are pointing?

As part of the research, Ted Wilburn went back to the Lorraine Motel, to the very spot where Martin Luther King was shot, and took a photograph of the crime scene location that shows a great deal of the surroundings.

Click for full size picture

Indicated at left is the actual window of the rooming house from which the government maintains that James Earl Ray shot Martin Luther King.

A line has been drawn from the rooming house window back to the balcony on which the pointing witnesses were photographed. Note the end of the line near the fire extinguisher and the intersection of the line with the top of the pale blue door.

Using the fire extinguisher and the top of the door as landmarks, a line is drawn on a detail of the photo taken just moment after the shooting, indicating the direction back to the window of the rooming house.

Click for full size picture

As can be seen, NONE of the witnesses are pointing towards the window of the rooming house at 422 South Main Street!

Let's Take America Back - Ron Paul 2008

A call to action to all American Patriots. We must protect our constitution. Ron Paul is our Champion.

Here are the lyrics.

Oh my gosh America, Look at Ron Paul, this is so big.
He looks like one of those founding father's friends
They only lie about him because he's winning so many people over
They just keep telling Lies about him, LOOK, it's gross
Let's take America BACK

I like Ron Paul, and I can not lie
other candidates can't deny
that When Ron Paul walks into a republican debate
and throws the constitution in yo' face
we get inspired, make home made flyers
He's sparked a political fire.
Deep are the truth's he sharin
I'm hooked and there's no back steppin
Oh-ba-ma I woulda got witcha,
but pro war's a label that fits ya
I can not vote Mitt Romney
because he cheats in Polls, he's such a phony
ohh Mrs. Clinton you say you want wars to end
well you, see, confuse me, cause you vote for em
ARE YOU STOO-PEED
They say we got no chance man
if you think thats a load of crap man
Then SHOUT-OUT
WHAT RON PAUL'S ALL ABOUT
I'm tired of magazines
that don't really report a thing
take the average american and ask him Jack
Does America got your back
say ladies, Ladies. Does Ron Paul impress the Ladies
Then turn around and point it out
Make the whole damn country shout
Let's take America BACK

They like the government big
and the elections rigged
They just can't help themselves
they think that we are animals
that won't resist a scandal
But i'm in my home
gettin UH fired up UH UH
I ain't the only one either son
that sees that our rights are almost gone
We need to read the constitution
and realize were in trouble,
before we burst the bubble,
and our whole economy crumbles.
So I'm watchin YouTube Videos
National Id Card is at your door
ever heard of the Amero
We've forgoten what our country stands for
A word to the thick headed spinsters
I wanna get witchya,
I won't cuss or hitchya
but I gotta be straight when I say
I wanna BOOOO till the break of dawn
O'Reilly is such a pawn
cant you see what's going on
These punks take the truth and spin it
Deceiving the USA
And it's wrong, come on
it's been going on for way to long
Hey Fellas, Fellas
Are you startin to feel rebelious
Let's take this, take this
Freedom thing all the way
Let's take America BACK

Yeah America, when it comes to this Years Election
Front runners aint got nothin to do with the right selection
This is just like 1776 ha ha
Ron Paul for president in 08

So the media is fighting harder
cause our fund raising goes much farther
But the Others couldnt do it even if they want to
We're gonna get the job done because
we got funds son
We got a Blimp flyin up the East Coast
And the world record has just broke
They Media just plays the Hard Role
and say that we wont meet our goals
So They Breed a lie, and then feed it
and hope we're dumb enough to believe it.
so Oprah supports Barack,
I aint down with that
cause Martin Luther King wouldn't support one thing
that is going down in Iraq
Giuliani in drag, how embarrassing
you it ain't miss thing
we need a real man a politician
Freedom fighter and an obstratrician.
Some knuckleheads try to diss,
cause Ron Paul is on my list
They had a chance but they chose to bash him
We said fine we'll just give him cash then
to the tune of 6 mil in a single day
just get your butt up out our way

With regards to the second part, the UN Security Council has agreed to have Kosovo Prime Minister address it but this will be in a closed session,” the paper quote an unnamed official from the office of the UN Secretary-General.

At the same time, KPS spokesman Veton Elshani was quoted as saying, “Citizens are free to come to Kosovo and leave whenever they want to. If there is a need to react we will do so, but until then we will respect the freedom of speech.”

Dr. Paul’s Writings Monetary Policy is Critically Important

Money is the lifeblood of any economy, and control over a nation's currency means control over its economic well being. Fed bankers quite literally determine the value of our money, by controlling the supply of dollars and establishing interest rates. Their actions can make you richer or poorer overnight, in terms of the value of your savings and the buying power of your paycheck. So I urge all Americans to educate themselves about monetary policy, and better understand how a small group of unelected individuals at the Federal Reserve and Treasury department wield tremendous power over our lives.

Serbians prepare plan for Kosovo

Western nations have said they would recognize Kosovo's independence because it has not been under Serbia's control since 1999, when NATO intervened to stop former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic's military crackdown against the separatists.

Serbia, backed by Russia, insists Kosovo — considered the cradle of Serbia's medieval state and religion — should remain part of its territory, and has urged more negotiations with Kosovo Albanians.

Ron Paul is the Real Candidate for Change, Not Barack Obama

Going into the New Hampshire primaries, polls showed that Barack Obama would win again for the Democrats, and Ron Paul was posed to finish third or fourth for the Republicans and improve his showing in the Iowa caucuses. It has been reported that both may have been cheated in NH by voting machines and hand count fraud. As a result there, will be a recount for both parties. Many fear that if no problems are found, it could further legitimize the electronic voting machines and hurt future recounts. Ron Paul does not endorse a recount, and instead has chosen to focus on the primaries to come. It was disappointing to finish in fifth place in NH, and I would have felt a lot better if he had finished ahead of Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani. The good news is that there still isn't a Republican front runner. Giuliani failed to break into double digits in NH, finishing with 9%, only one percent more than Paul. Regardless of what happens, Paul is the true candidate for change.

Unraveling the Myth of Al Qaida

The myth of "al Qaida" is built on an expansive foundation of many half-truths and hidden facts. It is a CIA creation. It was shaped by the agency to serve as a substitute "enemy" for America, replacing the Soviets whom the Islamist forces had driven from Afghanistan. Unknown American officials, at an indeterminate point in time, made the decision to fabricate the tale of a mythical worldwide network of Islamic terrorists from the exploits of the Afghan Mujahedeen. The CIA already had their own network of Islamic militant "freedom fighters," all that was needed were a few scattered terrorist attacks against US targets and a credible heroic figurehead, to serve as the "great leader."

The Israel Resolution by Ron Paul

I do not believe we are making the United States more secure when we involve ourselves in conflicts overseas. The Constitution really doesn't authorize us to be the policemen of the world, much less to favor one side over another in foreign conflicts. It is very clear, reading this resolution objectively, that all the terrorists are on one side and all the victims and the innocents are on the other side. I find this unfair, particularly considering the significantly higher number of civilian casualties among Lebanese civilians. I would rather advocate neutrality rather than picking sides, which is what this resolution does.

Ron Paul Vows to Take Campaign to NH

Attention Ron Paul supporters: If there is one lesson to take away from Iowa it is that sitting at your computers filling out online polls does not get your guy into office. Yes, more Ron Paul supporters showed up than showed for Rudy Giuliani and Mr. "Terrorism" may be on his way out. But not enough Ron Paul supporters got off their duffs, braved the cold, and caucused. You know who you are. You got over-confident, figured that "the other" Ron Paul supporters would get out there and stayed home where it was warm and cozy.

Money isn't enough. Online activism isn't enough. You have to press the flesh and talk up your guy in the real world as much as the other candidates do, so for you Ron Paul supporters in the other 49 states, learn from the Iowans' mistake.

Ron Paul actually did better than a lot of people expected. He went double-digit result, beat Giuliani, and got close to Thompson and McCain.

Paul can still stay in the race if he has a strong showing in New Hampshire. If he does well there, then it will be time for the big push for Super Tuesday. McCain and Thompson are running out of money and they don't have a lot of grass roots support. They may fizzle out after New Hampshire if Paul can pull ahead of them.

That puts Paul in a position to negotiate for the VP slot at the convention if Super Tuesday puts enough delegates in his column. (MR)

Russia goes its own way

One of the legacies that Vladimir Putin bequeaths to his successor is Russia's changed position in the world. Moscow no longer has any interest in making minor modifications to a policy largely predetermined in Washington. And the principal beneficiary of this changed perception may be Iran.
